KTA’s Peer Review Studio was selected to provide comprehensive third party plan review services under Fairfax County’s Expedited Plan Review Program for the Tyson’s Corner development located adjacent to the Tyson’s Corner Center mall. Plan review services encompassed reviews of two parking garage submissions, an office tower, a residential tower, a high-rise hotel, a pedestrian plaza, a pedestrian bridge connecting to Metro’s Silver Line, as well as modifications to the existing mall. Of the nine building permits for the development, KTA also assisted in the expedited review of three additional permits under Fairfax County’s Modified Processing program. The total size of the development was in excess of 2.1 million square feet with space for future retail, restaurants, outdoor entertainment, as well as business, transient and permanent residential uses.
